Creeping Hemlock Press announces second ‘Print Is Dead’ title

Pray to Stay Dead, the first book in the new zombie-themed line of books from Creeping Hemlock Press, is barely off the morgue slab and the publisher has already announced Print Is Dead title #2: Scavengers by Nate Southard. Here’s what they’re telling us:

Millwood was a good place to be when the dead rose. It was small, isolated, and easy to defend. The survivors there forged a community, weathered what came, and began to prosper.

But then they ran out of food.

Now, Millwood is sending five men to the neighboring town of Rundberg, a town ruled by over three thousand living dead, to find enough food to save a community.

Five against three thousand? They don’t stand a chance.

The book is due for an April release, which should give folks just enough time to finish up Pray to Stay Dead and realize how awesome it is. Southard is a talented writer (you should find a copy of his novella He Stepped Through and see for yourself), but the bar for this particular imprint has already been set very high. Knowing that Creeping Hemlock has got someone as good as Southard waiting in the wings is a good sign of things to come.
