Mulholland Books has unveiled the first part of a new Ken Bruen story, “Black Lens”, which the site will be carrying a chapter at a time over the next several weeks.
The first chapter comes at you in a short burst of staccato-like prose involving Phil Spector and Charles Manson, who are apparently about to call the same prison home. Although, in Charlie’s mind at least, the living arrangements aren’t going to last long – seems Manson is up for parole, and he’s feeling pretty good about his chances.
It’s a great, quick little read and could go in about a million different directions. And, best of all, it’s free. Check it out at the link above.
